Scope

Before we begin work on any project it is important that we understand your needs. We spend time ‘scoping’ your project. This means that we develop an overview of where your project currently stands, what the aims and timeframes are, and what Maxen’s contribution to the project needs to be. This is a practical approach to work out what Maxen can do for you.  We document any issues prior to the project commencing.

The scope will show the range of work required, grouped by topic. This guarantees that you know our opinion of the amount of time and effort required, and the expected budget before our work begins.  We’ll spend time with your project team and Subject Matter Experts to get this information.

This will help us to ascertain:

  • What is the central aim of the project
  • What are the second and third rank priorities
  • Who is involved as key stakeholders and who sets the targets
  • What material is required and how far any development has progressed
  • When the project will be (or was) started and the expected completion date
  • When Maxen will be required and what you need from us.

This is the most important issue – we need to know the level of Maxen involvement and resources you require.  After the scoping exercise is complete we will provide a formal proposal for your project. This will include the formal scope document, budget lines, prices and requirement statements.

We also understand that projects grow and change. Where Maxen is required to assist with items not on the original proposal we will meet the changes. navigation
